Help Fight Eminent Domain Abuse

From my inbox... I have to think that the location for these hearings was less than coincidental, since they are the cities with the two most egregious examples of ED abuse in recent memory. Perhaps the committee is telegraphing its bias???

Friends:

The Ohio Eminent Domain Task Force is holding two hearings in April to hear public testimony. If you were unable to attend earlier hearings, this is your opportunity to make your voice heard. The Task Force needs to hear from real Ohioans that have faced eminent domain abuse before they make their final recommendations as to what changes need to made to Ohio's law. This is your chance to stand up for home and small business owners across Ohio, to make sure that eminent domain abuse doesn't continue to plague the Buckeye State. Here are the locations of the hearings:

Lakewood Hearing
Monday, April 10, 2006
Lakewood Women's Pavilion
Lakewood Park
14532 Lake Drive
Lakewood, Ohio
3 p.m.

Norwood Hearing
Monday, April 17, 2006
Norwood High School
2020 Sherman Avenue
Norwood, Ohio
2 p.m.

Individuals wishing to testify before the Task Force should provide the secretary with 25 copies and fill out a witness slip prior to testifying. Testimony will be limited to three minutes.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
