Obama's Fraudulent ACORN Campaign

I have a friend who works for the United Way who told me this story over dinner tonight.

Apparently, the Obama campaign hired a few dozen people to canvas the Miami Valley to in the run up to the Ohio primary. To do this, they used a "company" called ACORN. This organization told these canvassers, "On March 11, show up at the United Way building in Dayton, and you'll get paid."

The problem?

ACORN wasn't located there. Never was. No one had even heard of ACORN. Never been in the building.

My friend told me that the United Way was overrun throughout the day by people "looking for their checks".

Imagine their surprise when it was revealed ACORN didn't exist. It was just an empty office suite.

Is this "change"? Or is Obama just another slimy politician grasping for power?

I am by no means an Obama defender, but this ACORN group was the one who was caught registering fake voters in Cuyahoga County in 2004.

FWIW - I don't know anything about the specific incident you describe, but I posted about ACORN's efforts here and so did Jeff Coryell and Lisa Renee of Glass City Jungle. I sent the same info to numerous bloggers who chose not to post the shout out for assistance, including Buckeye State Blog, Psychobilly Dem and probably Pho's Akron Pages because I thought as Obama-leaners, they'd be interested in posting the hiring info. In the info, ACORN states clearly that it's separate from the Obama campaign.

ACORN-CSI tied to $800,000 Obama campaign finance report coverup. This is just a continuation of Obama's "fradulent" ACORN Campaign

Includes Ohio information about this spring's GOTV effort for Obama

Acorn is a bi-partisan group that aims to get out the vote using tax payer money.
In reality, it is a democrat controlled group that uses tax payer money to nefariously influence elections in the dems favor.
